Rachel R. Raymond and Stacy L. Morris Obtain Complete Dismissal of Employer in Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court

Attorneys Rachel R. Raymond and Stacy L. Morris recently obtained a complete dismissal of all claims for their clients in a Nebraska workers’ compensation case. The plaintiff had claimed that he sustained a work-related injury to his back when bending over to lift up an item on the employer’s premises. The disputed issues included causation, the nature and extent of the claimed injuries, and the need for future medical care. Following a trial on the merits, the court took the matter under advisement before issuing a fully favorable order. The judge concluded that the plaintiff failed to satisfy his burden of proof and held that the employer and carrier were entitled to dismissal, with prejudice, of all claims.
