Cathy Trent-Vilim Invited to Become Fellow in the Academy of Appellate Lawyers

Partner Cathy Trent-Vilim was recently invited to become a Fellow in the Academy of Appellate Lawyers. The Academy is an invitation-only association of respected appellate lawyers. Fellows face stringent membership criteria, undergo rigorous screening, and are approved by the Academy’s Board. Fellows must have 15 years of appellate practice and receive unsolicited nominations from two Fellows. After a rigorous vetting process, the Board of Directors votes on each nomination.

Cathy specializes in the areas of appellate practice, commercial litigation, and professional negligence. She is the current Nebraska state chair of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers and a former co-chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association. Since 2016, Ms. Trent-Vilim has been selected by her peers to be included in the Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation and was most recently selected as a Best Lawyers recipient in Appellate Practice in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers.
