Dave Schmitt is a partner of Lamson, Dugan & Murray, LLP. He has over 25 years of courtroom experience representing corporations and individuals in a wide variety of legal matters, including railroad defense under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act, product liability, insurance defense, and commercial and tort litigation. Mr. Schmitt’s work has resulted in numerous jury verdicts and appellate court decisions in favor of the clients he represents.
After graduating from Creighton University School of Law, with honors, Mr. Schmitt served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lyle E. Strom, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. He has also served on the Adjunct Faculty for Creighton University School of Law teaching courses in Trial Practice and Legal Research and Writing.
Mr.Schmitt is admitted to practice in Nebraska State and Federal Courts, Iowa State Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in various jurisdictions in both Federal and State Court.
