Lawrence F. Harr

Larry Harr is a partner of Lamson, Dugan and Murray with a broad background in insurance, reinsurance and arbitrations, the areas of law where his practice is focused. He serves as counsel to insurance companies and insurance producers in regard to insurance corporate and regulatory matters for all lines of business. Subject matters include insurance company formation, admission to do business in various states, adding lines of authority, acquisitions, mergers, redomestications of insurance companies, demutualizations, mutual holding company transactions, reinsurance transactions and representation before insurance regulatory authorities for these and other purposes.

Prior to joining Lamson, Dugan and Murray, he had extensive experience in the insurance industry. He held a variety of positions with a Fortune 500 insurance company, including Executive Vice President and Chief Counsel. He is a former General Counsel of a national insurance trade association. Mr. Harr was an attorney for the Nebraska Department of Insurance. He has been appointed special counsel to the receivers of several property and casualty insurers.

Frank J. Barrett

Frank Barrett is in private practice as counsel to Lamson, Dugan and Murray and concentrates on regulatory insurance matters, corporate law projects and reinsurance matters, including commutations and arbitrations. He served as a consultant for Mutual of Omaha and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.

Before becoming associated with the Firm, Mr. Barrett was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Central National Insurance Group and Chief Counsel to Mutual of Omaha Insurance Companies. He served on the Board of Directors of Nebraska Blue Cross and Blue Shield and currently serves on the Boards of Directors of  AFLAC, Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company, United American Insurance Company and Liberty National Insurance Company. He was Director of Insurance for the State of Nebraska for 7 years and was President of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
